This is a 3D environment depicting an abandoned teacup ride in a forgotten amusement park. The models were created in Autodesk Maya, textures were painted in Substance Painter, and concept sketches and patterns were created in Procreate. The scene is set at night, giving it a slightly eerie and mysterious atmosphere.
The teacups and environment props were modeled in Maya, with careful attention to UV mapping to ensure textures fit accurately and without distortion. This allowed detailed texturing in Substance Painter, including realistic rust, chipped paint, scratches, and grime. The cracked pavement, scattered debris, fencing, and lampposts all reinforce the neglected and decayed look of the scene.
Arnold Renderer in Maya was used to create moody nighttime lighting, casting long shadows and highlighting the textures’ details. Every element is placed to tell a story, immersing the viewer in the abandoned amusement park.
